Meet Captain Eddie Garrett and Bass Fishing With Eddie

Captain Eddie has been a professional bass fisherman on Lake Fork for over two decades, winning many tournament championships and perfecting is craft for reeling in the top big Bass in the lake. Eddie now spends his time showing guests around the lake in hopes that they can reel in the next record-breaking Bass from Lake Fork.

Eddie's sole focus is on being the best Lake Fork Fishing guide he can be. You will target largemouth bass only on this guided trip, as thats the only species that matters when it comes to Eddie's opinion of Lake Fork! Once you get that first bit, there's nothing that compares to that Bass! Bass fishing requires technical knowledge and a swift hand, they bit fast and hard!

Step aboard his 22’ Phoenix 921 bass boat. Built in 2017, specifically for Largemouth Bass fishing, this craft has plenty of space for 2 anglers to be casting at the same time. It comes powered by a 250HP Mercury Pro XS engine that will get you to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. The vessel is outfitted with GPS and a fishfinder to save you time while your search for the best bite. There is also a wireless trolling motor and icebox on board to store any snacks or drinks you would like to bring for the day.

Lake Fork's current regulation on largemouth bass is a 16" to 24" slot limit

You cannot keep any bass between 16 -24 inches long. Only one bass 24 inches or greater may be retained each day.

5 bass daily limit.

We always encourage catch and release.

The weather on Lake Fork is fishable year round,

and many bass anglers prefer the winter months because of the large bass during that time period.

Spawn is an extremely busy time on Lake Fork. Full Day charters will ensure we have more time to find spots away from the crowds.

Remember to book your Lake Fork trip early for the best available dates!

Lake Fork Facts From Eddie:

Lake Fork Size: 27,700 acres

Age: Impoundment began 1980, filled to capacity 1985

Location: Approximately 75 miles east of downtown Dallas, five miles west of Quitman, just east of U.S. Highway 69.

Description: The dam impounds Lake Fork Creek, a tributary of the Sabine River. Other major creeks are Big Caney and Little Caney. The water is usually stained to moderately clear, with widespread distribution of hydrilla and other flooded vegetation. Most standing timber was left in the original reservoir basin.

Structure: Flooded timber is found throughout Lake Fork and provides a excellent fish habitat. Although access through the reservoir is provided by numerous buoyed boat lanes, submerged timber can be a substantial hazard, so care should be exercised while boating in all areas. Fishing with your best Lake Fork bass fishign guide, Eddie, will ensure your safety navigating this puzzle. Areas containing hydrilla, boathouse, docks, and lake points have historically provided some of the best fishing for largemouth bass.

When Eddie isn't professionally fishing, he's still fishing. Being on this lake is home and there's nothing better than reeling in that Mega bass and snapping a picture. lake fork is arguably the nation's best Bass fishing lake, holding record to over 3/4 of the largest Bass caught. Eddie's passion for fishing is noted in every guided fishing trip he runs. He caters every trip to the angler's skill level and age, ensuring all have a great time and make lasting memories.
