Welcome to Lake Fork. Water level is full and surface temps ranging from 69 to 71 degrees. Some bass are still spawning but a lot of them are done now. We're still fishing shallow from 2" to 5" of water. The shad spawn is starting also and throwing at hard body secondary and main lake points real shallow early in the mornings. Shallow shad color crank baits and swim baits. We will also start fishing the shallow shell beds. Fishing has been pretty good lately.  Seen more windy days this year then normal though. Welcome to Lake Fork. The lake is at full pool and surface temps  are now 55 to 57. With this nice warming trend here at the end of February Fork is  about to bust loose.  With the warmer nights and longer days the pre spawn is under way. They will start spawning early this Spring. Right now red square bills and chatter baits are great search baits. A couple more warmer surface degrees. and Senkos, other soft plastic stick baits and wacky worms will be the ticket with these bass pulling up shallow. Welcome to Lake Fork. Lake level is full now and it's  setting up for a great pre spawn and spawn. We're on a unusable warming trend right now with surface temps in the mid 50s the past few days.  A lot of bass have pulled up shallower  and the pre spawn is about to begin early especially on the upper end.. Cranking square bills, chatter baits and lipless cranks are working. Stick baits such as V&M Chopsticks and Senkos will work when you c an find mid 50  surface temps. I'm excited about this Spring! With the good water level it should be a real good Spring. Right now the jig,, drop shot, suspended jerk bait, a-rig and chatter bait are good choices in this colder water. Lake Fork water  is - 1.190 below full pool and surface temps are in mid to upper 50s. Hope everyone has a great 2025  new year! The bass are about to get into Winter transition this month I'm now booking for the pre spawn and spawn trips here. They will start moving towards the main lake creeks, points and secondary points to set up for pre spawn. Jek baits, jigs and drop shot will work best in the colder water. Lake Fork is - 2.44 below full pool and surface temps are ranging 56 to 59 degrees. Not many people fishing right now right after Thanksgiving. But I think Dec. is going to fish well.  Been catching bass from 4'to 18' of water. The drop shot, c-rig and jig have been the best bit. As the water has gotten colder we will start throwing a spoon more offshore' The bar fish or yellow bass will start showing up on some of the deeper points and humps and the bass are feeding on them. Fishing Report  1/3/24

Lake Fork water level is - 2.32 low and surface temps are 74 to 77 degrees Fall is here and fish are biting pretty good. The best bite has been shallow with a lot of bass moving back in the creeks. 3ft. to 6ft.  on square bills, wacky rig, shaky heads and tx. rigs. Mid morning we're moving out a little deeper on secondary and main lake points with a drop shot and c- rig. November should be real good this year. Would love to earn your business!

10/26/24 Fishing Report

1Lkak Fork is - 1 .91 below full pool. Surface temps are 78 to 82 degrees Bass are starting to get into the Fall pattern.. a lot of the shad are now moving to the back of he creeks.  We're still fishing some of the main lake and secondary points. But will start fishing further back in creeks next to channels, The your top water and frog bite will get better and better as it gets cooler. I don't see us having much of a lake turnover this Fall. Usually seeing it by now.  Oct. and November are good months.

10/9/24 Fishing Report

Lake Fork water level is-.76 ft. low and surface  temp is about 89 degrees.  Were fishing mostly offshore in 18' to 24'.  The best bite has been  on a drop shot and Carolina rig.  V &M Slim Wild and Zoom super fluke has best baits. If can get some cloud cover early a top water will work also.  I'm only doing 4 hr. and 6 hr. trips this month in this extreme heat. 

8/16 /24

Fork is .19 over full pool and surface temps are 87 to8 9 degrees. The offshore deep bite is getting good now. We're fishing mostly long points in 17'to 22'. Drop shot, big shaky head and c-rigs working best. I offer 4,6,and 8 hour trips. But with the extreme heat I suggest the 6 hour  for extended trips instead of the 8 hour full day at this time. 6/25/24 Fishing Report

Lake Fork is a little over a foot above full pool.  Surface temps is about 86 t0 89 degrees  We've had a lot of rain lately. They have had some gates open for the past week. It is in good shape and fishing pretty good though. I love it offshore in June and July. We have been catching them on drop shots, c-rigs and big shaky heads.  When we have good cloud cover the top water has worked well.  These two months will produce some big one also. I would love to earn your business!

Lake Fork is a little above full pool right now. It just keeps raining here lately. We're still fishing shallow right now. Top waters when it's cloudy working well. Which May is always the best month for these baits. Also Senkos and flukes fished weightless around flood grass has been good. We will start moving a little offshore within the next week or so on shallower humps and shell beds with drop shots and c-rigs.  Would love to earn your business.

 Lake Fork is at full pool and surface temps are 62-68 degrees. The bass fishing has been pretty good. We're still staying very shallow. The bass are in all different stages right now. Some have spawned and a lot are still spawning. Weightless Senkos ,flukes have been working well. Also catching them on a Neko rig .  We're getting a lot of rain right now also. The topwater bite will get good soon as the surface temps reach 70 degrees. Walking type baits and swim baits will work well as the shad spawn should start soon. 4/9/24 Fishing Report

Bassmaster Elite Pros just finished up a 4 day tournament here on Fork. The top 10 qualifiers fined today.  All 10 anglers caught over 100 pounds in  4days. Which was a record high in Bassmaster history. Fork is alive and healthy. With the Later Feb. warming trend the are moving shallow fast and it will be a early spawn this year. Lake Fork is full and we're going to have a great pre spawn and spawn this Spring. Bass Champs derby was here yesterday. They fished a windy and North wind cold front. There were 3 fish over 10 pounds caught which was great. Going to have warmer weather now also for about a week and a half that I can see ahead. Bass Master elites will be here for their derby Feb. 29 thru March 3 and coming at a perfect time.They should wreck em! The spawn will be early this year. 2/13/24 Fishing Report

Welcome to Lake Fork. The lake is at full pool right now after all the recent rain. Surface temp is 49 -50 degrees. The bass are working their way to the shallows  Red or orange lipless crank baits are choices to throw right now. Mid way to the back of the creeks are target places. Also points, drains and  secondary points. Another good bait is a suspended jerk bait. We will start throwing plastics as the water warms a little. Don't underestimate February for a giant here either.  Now is the time to book your February, March and April pre spawn and spawn trips now. I think this will be one of the best spawns this Spring that we've seen in a long time.

January is a transition month here on Fork. Very few trips this month. We've just had a very hard freeze here. But the lake level is in good shape at - 1.70  low and surface temps are 47 to 49 degrees which is very cold.  Moe rain coming next week and the lake should be in great shape for the pre spawn and spawn. Book your Mid Feb., March and April trips now while you still can get a preferred date. Water level is -2.63 low and surface temps are 7 to 74 degrees. The Fall turnover is just about out of here and the fishing is about to get good. Right now we're fishing relatively shallow. Texas rig and drop shots have been working the best. I'm also about to move out a little deeper as the clarity is getting better, I love Late Oct. and  Nov. Summer bass fishing

Lake Fork water level is -.63 off full pool and surface temps are 95 to 97  degrees. Trips are slow due to the very hot temps but the bass fishing is pretty good. Top waters early then we're moving offshore. 18 ' to 26' on long points and humps has been the ticket.  Big worms on shaky heads, drop shot and c-rigs the main techniques.

Lake level is -.40 off full pool and surface temps are mid to upper 80s. The bass fishing is fair and the hotter it gets the better it will get especially offshore. This year I think July will fish like June normally does. We're basically just fishing offshore stuff right now. 15' to 22' ft. on long points, humps and roadbeds. The C- rig using a creature type bait in Green Pumpkin. Also a big shaky head with a V&M J-Mag worm in Red Bug and Plum Apple. The texas rig with a 3/8oz Tungsten weight around brush piles using a 8.5" V&M Wild Thang in the same colors. If we have clouds a top water walking bait will work around the shallower cover early in the morning. With this extreme heat I'm offering 4 hour an 6 hour trips. Water level is -.85 low and surface temps are 83 to 86 degrees. The Summer bite is picking up We're starting out shallow around bean trees and flooding grass with a weightless fluke and also a Vixon topwater walking the dog with it. Mid morning moving offshore 14ft. to 20ft. on humps, roadbeds, long points and ridges. Carolina rigging a V&M Pork Shad in Outlaw Magic color. Also throwing a V&M Wild Thang in Plum Apple and Red Bug on a Excite heavy shaky head. Also a 10.5'' J- Mag on the same technique. We will use a drop shot too on tough conditions. Welcome to Lake Fork
Water level is - .63 and surface temps are mid to upper 70s. This Spring was one of the most inconsistent ones I've seen since in a long time. Lot of cold fronts in and out with flatulating water level was the main reason I think. We just didn't have the numbers on a daily basis like we have in the past. Good thing is the spawn fry survival rate should be awesome with all the new cover. We have been staying shallow all the way up to now. Lot of fish are starting to move out offshore now finally which is my favorite way to target them. Secondary and main lake points are where to look for them right now. Top waters early shallow on these points will work well. Carolina rig, drop shot, shaky head and cranking are the other best techniques to try. Shallower humps, ridges, road beds and pond damns also. Welcome to Lake Fork
Lake level is only  - .95 low and still rising from recent rain runoff. Surface temp is 67 to 68 degrees after long cold front last week. This past April was one of the most inconsistent bites I've ever seen here. Just too many cold fronts with up and down temps. We're still staying very shallow using tx. rigged senkos and flukes for the most part. Some rigged wacky in areas the flooded cover isn't that thick. Their has also been a frog bite  on some occasions with cloud cover but not very consistent. We're  also throwing a short c-rig with flukes. There's still some fish spawning and we will see a another very small wave on this coming full moon on the 5th . I'm about to move offshore for post spawners. May is a very good month to fish Fork. Shad spawn on shallow points and shell beds early in the month. It's also swim bait and top water time on these places. which will be very productive. Welcome to Lake Fork
Water level is - 1.15 low and surface temps are 70 to 73 degrees.The lake is in good shape and the bass are still spawning mid to South end. Lots of flooded vegetaiton from the planned water pull down last year to repair damn. We're fishing from 2 ft. to 8 ft. In and outside of the cover. Senko or stick type baits have been our best bite.There's a frog bite under cloudy skies in the thick vegetation on some days. Also there's starting to be a shad spawn on some of the shallower points.This will get better and better soon.Top waters, shallow crank baits and swimbaits in this situation. Lake level is -2.20 and surface temps are starting at 59 and going to 64 in the afternoon where we've been. Like I said in my earlier report last month the spawn would start early this year with the warmer temps. They have started bedding and a lot of them coming shallow now. We're fishing pre spawn and spawning fish. The best bite has been 2' to 5' for us. Secondary points, spawning pockets, flats, drains and ditches are what we're targeting.  A lot of fish will also spawn in the newly flooded weed areas in the back of coves.Weightless stick baits and very small weighted tx, rigs are working best in these areas. Also chatter baits and swim jigs with white trailers working with a little wind. I'ts about to really take off out there after a very hard bite we had this Winter. Welcome to Lake Fork
Water level is -4.38 and surface temp is lower 50s. This is the best water level we've had since early last Winter. We had a pretty severe cold front here last week then some much needed rain. The ground was already saturated so most of it was runoff into the lake. Looking at the extended future forecast it looks fairly mild heading toward Spring. These big females will start heading toward their pre spawn haunts early this year. I like to start fishing the upper Northern  part of the lake stating in early Feb. and continuing staying on that end through March. The water will always be a little warmer and that's where they will start spawning first. Main lake and secondary points at mouths of the larger creeks are idea early staging places. On a little warmer  trend move on into the creeks and fish larger wood on the sides of them. Also try spawning flats outside the creeks in the warmer afternoons. A lot of baits will work for these pre spawners. Jigs, suspended jerk baits, chatter baits, spinner baits, cranks and I like a c-rig with a creature bait. Lake level is- 5.17 and surface temps are in the low 50s, Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'm really looking forward to the 2023 new fishing year.! January is typically a transition month before the February pre spawn approaches. Numbers are normally pretty low but quality will be good. This month the fish will be in transition and grouped up fish can be hard to locate sometimes but Fork can be rewarding if you find them set up right. You could also catch a giant at this time. Posting this to let everyone know I'm also now accepting dates for February pre spawn and March and April spawn. Not many anglers on the water right now but it will change drastically as Feb. approaches. With the future forecast showing a milder Winter ahead the pre spawn and spawn could be earlier this year. Lake level is - 6.12 and surface temps are in the lower to mid 80s. Lake continues to drop after lack of rain lately. It's now the beginning of Fall and the extended forecast will be in the mid 80s starting this coning week and will continue to be cooler which will be enjoyable fishing. I'm excited to start being on the water on a full time basis. Sept. was a very slow month for trips as it normally is. The lake is also tuning over in several places which is also normal this time of year. When this occurs the shallower bite is always best When using plastics the darker colors are the best ticket. Fall is always fun because the bass start moving and will start feeding up on shad for the Winter months coning. You can also start fishing a lot of different techniques and baits this time of year.. On my next report I'll give more detail on the plastic colors and techniques we're doing out there once I'm on the water on a daily basis. Barkley tournament is also coming Oct. 51 and 16 if someone wants a pre fish trip for that event .

The water is hot and a little colored up here on lake fork. The Bass fishing has remained really good, we are catching lake fork largemouth bass in pretty good numbers and size. Drop shotting has been effective and shad patterns also continue to produce good sized fish. 

The Bass bite is best in the morning on Lake Fork Right now, there is about a one hour window of really top notch Bass fishing in the early morning. We are using a few different techniques to get into these fish so book now and I will show you the way!

Lee and Dane from Louisiana fished with me yesterday here on Lake Fork. We caught some nice fish and they had a great time learning the deep drop shot. Then Lee and Dane went back out later in the evening and Lee caught this 11.55 over the slot 26" GIANT Largemouth Bass. Congrats!

The best technique right now for Largemouth Bass fishing on Lake Fork is Deep Drop Shotting. It takes a little time to learn how to do this well so book now so i can show you the ropes!

Good Size, 6 plus pounds is common right now, and even reeling in some 8 lbers regularly.

Water level is -5.70 and surface temps or 83 to 85 degrees  The bass fishing has been pretty good. We'er catching fish in different depths right now. Early in the morning there is a top water bite especially if there is cloud cover but it's not lasting long. Offshore fishing will pick up this month!

Small baits like the 1/2 oz. Yellow Magic is working best and the Alewife and Japanese Shad seem to be the best colors. Also early to mid morning 6' to 12' on secondary and main lake points seems to be the best depth. Drop shot and 3/8 oz shaky head has been our best technique. 

Surface temps are starting about 57 and we're seeing some 60 degree water later in the afternoon. Lake level is -6.38. It hasn't been one the better March months I've seen here so far. We've had cold front after cold  front come in here, and most of them fronts have had horrific north winds. But now midway through the month we are seeing more bucks and a few females pulling up very shallow. With more consistent warmer nights and days I think the spawn will begin in the next few days. I think some of the early large females have started spawning in the larger trees a little bit deeper. we should see a large wave pull up shortly. April should be a great month fish spawning all over the lake. We're mostly fishing plastics in 2' to 5" of water in spawning areas. Tx. rig and wacky has been our go-to techniques. On the real windy days chatter baits and square bills have proven successful. I will give more details on colors in my next report as now they vary. Lake level is - 6.16 low and surface temps are 48 to 51 degrees. I wasn’t on the water too much in January because it's just a slow month here. It’s also a transition month for the bass. They are now moving back into the creeks to start their pre-spawn ritual. February is a good Winter month to catch a big one here. We don't a lot of numbers of bass but they are good quality because they are full of eggs and heaviest. With cold water temps right now, a jig fishing on the edges of creek channels flipped beside the stumps is hard to beat! I like a 3/8 and 1/2 oz. in black and blue and green pumpkin color. A Strike King Rage Craw in black and blue is a great trail for the jig. I typically fish the creek channels in 6' to 12' of water this month. I also like throwing a suspended jerk bait in this cold water. The Mega Bass Vision 110 is my favorite. The Elegy color works well here. Also in the afternoons when the water warms some I like throwing this bait shallower 2 'to 5' on the flats outside the creeks and also in the ditches and drains. I don't like throwing soft plastics until surface temps hit 55 to 57 degrees. Its all about the night temps determining the surface temps in the daytime on the shorter winter daylight hours.
